UniqueScraps Journaling Helps

Free Font Sites

Scrapbooking Embellishments are the fun part of making a scrapbook page, but we believe that it is the journaling that reveals your heart, and the personality of the people in the photos to those who will view your memory albums.

Because of this, we want to offer, in addition to our articles to help you with your journaling and the journaling prompts, a list of font sites that we have found most useful.

Fonts can add a bit of fun and creative embellishment style to your journaling, so you can enjoy the both sides of scrapbooking.

(Please note: these sites are outside of our domain and we have no control over their content. Some sites have been removed because of objectionable content. Please use caution when visiting outside sites.)

  • dafont.com has a good selection of fonts arranged by category and in some cases subcategory. Fewer fonts per page load, so page load times are faster. Categories are particularly helpful on this site.
  • momscorner4kids.com has a nice selection of fonts arranged alphabetically - click on a letter and all of the fonts beginning with that letter will load examples fairly quickly. We found a great percentage of these fonts to be useful for scrapbooking.
  • eternalfonts.com offers a huge number of fonts arranged within both an alphabetical listing as well as a categorized listing. Categories listed are almost all descriptive of typeface rather than theme. However, there is a nice little tool that allows you to type in your text and preview what it will look like in all the fonts listed on that page.
  • fontfreak.com lists fonts alphabetically, and you must go through a portal page to reach the site. There are some tools offered.
  • 1001fonts.com offers fonts sorted by category. Their category listings are a mix of typeface style and theme.
  • highfonts.com offers fonts listed by alphabetized listing and popularity listing. You can also try a search by category. There are a number of unique fonts here.
  • abstractfonts.com offers both free and commercial fonts arranged by type. Search will return first the free fonts in that category, with links to download them, followed by smaller samples of all the commercial fonts.
  • acidfonts.com has option of joining. Fonts are arranged in a small number of categories. There is also a neat little tool on the page (an ad for a graphics program) that lets you type in a word and produce a nice 3-d graphic of it in your choice of font and 3-d style that you are permitted to save to your computer.
  • creativedelights.com/letteringdelights is actually a fonts-for-sale site, but they do offer some free fonts and many of them are particularly well suited to scrapbooking.
